The Three Kittens was started in the aftermath of yet another tournament debacle, Euro 2016, and seeks to provide the reader with articles and opinions about all things wrong with the England national team.
In the eyes of a 22 year old, I have only ever known failure and mediocrity when it comes to England, from the somewhat underwhelming highs of the 2002 World Cup to the appalling lows of recent history. I follow England avidly, but sadly, as most would admit this has been a largely unfulfilling experience in the 21st century. My family and friends can no longer bare hearing about my grumblings and theories about the Three Kittens (nee Lions) and so I have taken to the World Wide Web to bring my viewpoint to the wider public.
Now as the wider public we are used to wallowing in collective self pity, it seems a very English trait when it comes to watching our national team, and I want to simply build on that feeling. Now I am just a mere arm-chair fan, with views on what has gone wrong with England and what will continue to go wrong. I am not a journalist nor some Daily Mail comment section key board warrior, rather just another young England fan consistently destroyed by hope. So if you’re a broken and deflated England fan of any age, I hope that this site will deliver a convenient diet to ease the pain of biennial ineptitude.
